Are you considering ADHD Testing? If you’ve noticed the behavioral symptoms of inattention and/or hyperactivity in your life or your child’s life, it can make everyday functioning challenging. As a result, you may notice that completing tasks takes a little longer. Some might be familiar with feeling impatient or frustrated. You are not alone. It’s often difficult to learn how to manage it and still live as fulfilling a life as possible. This can be especially true if we are the caretaker of or the person who showcases these symptoms. I offer ADHD testing and evaluations for children or adults. I want to share some insight on how I conduct these evaluations and how they can assist in the treatment plan moving forward.
Here at Iris Therapy Services, I offer comprehensive ADHD evaluations. I assess cognitive functioning, achievement, attention, working memory, executive functioning, and personality development. While evaluating for ADHD, we are simultaneously evaluating and ruling out other disorders that can mimic inattention and/or hyperactivity symptomatology.
Findings and Treatment Plans
Conducting an ADHD Evaluation is the first step towards finding a solution and plan to move forward. During the feedback session, I will provide you with a comprehensive report. In this report, I will summarize my findings, provide conclusions and a diagnosis, assist with Individualized Education Program (IEP) considerations, and provide treatment recommendations.
Together, we will discuss the findings and how to best move forward with the diagnosis. I believe in working together in a collaboration with other treatment team providers to identify the best treatment plan and help you or your child lead a life as unaffected by it as possible. Each treatment plan is individualized, keeping in mind what will work best for each specific patient.
If you have any questions at all, or want to get in touch to schedule an ADHD evaluation, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Together we will work to lighten your load and work towards a progressive and effective treatment plan.
